Ipsita is the definition of a “Triple Threat”. After beginning her career dancing and singing on Broadway - Ipsita's performance in the Tony Award winning musical "Contact" earned her an NAACP Theatre Award Nomination for Best Actress. Ipsita is now one of Canada’s rising stars in Film and Television. Ipsita has taken on demanding roles which highlight both her dramatic skills and also her excellent comedic touch.
Recent credits include: "My Husband's Baby" (Supporting/Tubi), "I Woke Up A Vampire" (Series Regular/Netflix), "Swing Into Romance" (Supporting/GAC), “A Date with Danger” (Lead / Lifetime), and “Good Sam” (Series Recurring / CBS).
Although, Ipsita was practically born on stage, being in the booth and behind the mic is one of her happy places! She has voiced characters in video games, many national campaigns & major brands and most recently, animation. She has now set her sights on voicing characters in shows that represent the colour-conscious casting that is so needed in the industry.
Raised by hard-working South Asian parents, Ipsita was adopted as a baby and traveled the globe from a young age. She is trilingual and constantly curious with a thirst for knowledge.
Since becoming a mom, Ipsita has added 'Author' to her many accomplishments! Inspired by her own family, I'm Awesome Because is an uplifting children's picture book about multiracial children and families that speaks to everyone. She has also been a Huffington Post contributor and continues to explore the many diverse ways to express herself creatively.
