Ipsita Paul is a Toronto based actress, voiceover artist, children's author and a former Broadway dancer. Let's say she likes to keep things fresh!
She has been fortunate to play a number of roles on and off Broadway, as well as leading, guest starring & recurring roles on screen. Some of her favorites include an upcoming thriller Dying To Be Your Friend (stay tuned!) the Emmy Award winning show - The Handmaid's Tale & The Hallmark movie Love On Ice.
Ipsita's performance in the Tony Award winning musical Contact earned her an NAACP Theatre Award Nomination for Best Actress and her portrayal as Cha-Cha in the Los Angeles CLO production of Grease received standout reviews.
Being a classically trained dancer, Ipsita attended York University on a Fine Arts scholarship. She received several dance and theatre performance scholarships allowing her to train in New York, Los Angeles and across Canada, which contributed to her success and also gave her the opportunity to work with some of the best in the performing arts communities.
Although, Ipsita was practically born on stage, being in the booth and behind the mic is one of her happy places! She has voiced many national campaigns and major brands and has now set her sights on voicing characters in shows that represent the colour-conscious casting that is so needed in the industry.
Having traveled the globe, Ipsita is trilingual and is learning to take her yoga practice off the mat. She LOVES 80's music, is passionate about home design, racial justice and spending time with her kids!
Since becoming a mom, Ipsita has added 'author' to her resume. Inspired by her own family, I'm Awesome Because is an uplifting children's picture book about multiracial children and families that speaks to everyone. She has been a Huffington Post contributor and is currently working on an intimate series of short stories. The adventure continues...
